The film is about the life of handsome chemistry professor Shrikanth (Sudesh Berry) who teaches at Hansraj college. Many women, including some of his students find Shrikanth very attractive. A tragedy strikes at the college's laboratory one day when Shrikanth's face is accidentally sprayed with acid. He is rushed to the hospital with severe burns on one side of his face. He is treated, but subsequently part of his face is badly disfigured. When Shrikanth attempts to return to work, he finds that not only women, but men as well are openly horrified at his disfigurement, and all those who adored him begin to repulse. He slowly becomes a recluse, reading books on vampires, ghosts and supernatural powers. One day he meets an attractive young woman, Ragini (Madhoo) who claims she is lost. He assists her, and they both get friendly. They meet again by chances and both fall in love with each other. Subsequently, they get married. Shortly after their marriage, Shrikanth starts to notice that Ragini is not an ordinary woman, she possesses some magical powers; even his dog is terrified of her; and she remains oblivious to his disfigurement. Shrikanth does some research and finds out that Ragini may be a Yakshini (a species of supernatural entity, in some ways similar to a fairy), who has come to drink his blood by having sexual contact with him. Trapped, with no one to believe him, Shrikanth starts losing his mind, displays strong signs of paranoia. He has not permitted his wife Ragini to touch him. His fear reaches new heights when he tries to kill Ragini, and has to be subdued and taken to a psychiatric hospital.

    Hey, thanks for starting this blog! I really hope someone records the movie at some point and puts it up. I live abroad and don't even have access to Zee tv anymore so there is no way for me to watch this. I had a VHS of this ages ago but haven't seen the movie since. It was SO GOOD!

    I still remember watching this movie in October 1995 on Zee TV..It was premiered tht time. I loved all the sex scenes..

    I watched this movie twice on zee tv, I'm a great fan of this movie which is actually a clash between your subjetive expreriane and what science says. The songs are awesome! However, there is no way to watch this movie again, I live in Pakistan and do not have tata sky or zee network. The film is also not availble on video. Can anybody please upload this film, I would love to see it again!

    This movie will be played on May 21, 2014 around 18:30 pm EST in Zee Cinema USA. If anyone can record and post the link of the move then we nail down the problem forever. Also please discuss possible options to record so that atleast one of us can succeed this time. I am keeping this target just as an eagle eyes a snake. This time I don't want to miss.

    Friends. Finally I emerged successful in recording Mohini (full movie) on my laptop. Kudos to new age technology that made this otherwise daunting task very simple. I simply loved the movie as I watched it after 19 years today. It was first shown on Zee cinema in October 1995.
