The film is about the life of handsome chemistry professor Shrikanth (Sudesh Berry) who teaches at Hansraj college. Many women, including some of his students find Shrikanth very attractive. A tragedy strikes at the college's laboratory one day when Shrikanth's face is accidentally sprayed with acid. He is rushed to the hospital with severe burns on one side of his face. He is treated, but subsequently part of his face is badly disfigured. When Shrikanth attempts to return to work, he finds that not only women, but men as well are openly horrified at his disfigurement, and all those who adored him begin to repulse. He slowly becomes a recluse, reading books on vampires, ghosts and supernatural powers. One day he meets an attractive young woman, Ragini (Madhoo) who claims she is lost. He assists her, and they both get friendly. They meet again by chances and both fall in love with each other. Subsequently, they get married. Shortly after their marriage, Shrikanth starts to notice that Ragini is not an ordinary woman, she possesses some magical powers; even his dog is terrified of her; and she remains oblivious to his disfigurement. Shrikanth does some research and finds out that Ragini may be a Yakshini (a species of supernatural entity, in some ways similar to a fairy), who has come to drink his blood by having sexual contact with him. Trapped, with no one to believe him, Shrikanth starts losing his mind, displays strong signs of paranoia. He has not permitted his wife Ragini to touch him. His fear reaches new heights when he tries to kill Ragini, and has to be subdued and taken to a psychiatric hospital.
